Scientific and research activities:

  • Separation methods in radiochemistry including:
    • partitioning of minor actinoids from high level waste,
development of new separation materials, mainly solid extractants and
    • omposite ion exchangers,
processes for actinoids co-conversion to precursors for nuclear fuel
    • roduction,
    • separation of radionuclides from operational liquid radioactive wastes from nuclear facilities,
    • soil decontamination.

  • Radioanalytical methods with the emphasis on the development of new methods for:
    • determination of difficult-to-measure radionuclides in radioactive wastes or in the environment
    • sample preparation for radionuclides with very long half lives for Accelerator Mass Spectrometry (AMS)
