Scientific and research activities:

    Separation methods in radiochemistry:
  • partitioning of minor actinoids from high level waste
  • procedures for trace radionuclides concentrating from large-volume natural liquid samples
  • application of liquid-liquid extraction for the study of chemical properties of superheavy elements homologues
  • development of new separation materials, mainly solid extractants and composite ion exchangers
  • separation of radionuclides from operational liquid radioactive wastes from nuclear facilities
  • application of ionic liquids for spent decontamination solutions recycling
  • processes for actinoids co-conversion to precursors for nuclear fuel
  • soil decontamination
Radioanalytical methods with the emphasis on the development of new methods for
  • determination of difficult-to-measure radionuclides in radioactive wastes or in the environment
  • sample preparation for radionuclides with very long half lives for Accelerator Mass Spectrometry (AMS)
